Week 4: Building Your Brand & Website

• Building a dynamic brand and engaging website.

Week 5: Selecting Your Business Tech Tools

Week 6: Developing Your Marketing Resources

• Developing multiple mediums to engage with and market your business to potential clients/customers.

Week 7: Building Some Business Buzz

• Building and growing buzz about your business services and products.

Week 8: Launch Time! ​

• Planning and executing your business launch.​​

About Your Side Hustle Sisterhood Guide, Dr. Colleen Georges:

I worked in higher education administration for 13 years. During those years, I had a hobby writing resumes for family, friends, and friends of friends. I just really loved writing people's career stories in a way that helped them see their professional superpowers. In 2008, I decided to start a little resume business as a side hustle. That side business grew to include career coaching, life coaching, and speaking/training. It was the most incredible feeling to be my own boss, set my own schedule, create and modify my own marketing strategies, use my gifts and passions to help others, and make some extra money!

When I began my resume/coaching/speaking business, I never had any intention of it being anything more than a side hustle. But, in 2009 my son was born and a year later, I decided to leave my full-time director job at Rutgers and make my business the main gig. I was craving more time with my son, and this offered me flexibility to work from home and have him right by my side. This decision was one of the riskiest, scariest, and best decisions I ever made. It created a whole new, amazing life for me, my husband, and our son and it's grown and flourished in the best ways ever since. 

Since then, I've become passionate about helping others start side hustles! I've been blessed to support clients in launching and expanding their small businesses, especially my women clients. As women, we can sometimes second-guess our strengths and intuition, put our dreams on hold, and put others' needs and wants first. I just love seeing the pride and empowerment women feel when they believe in their gifts, decide their dreams deserve expression, and turn their passions into profit.
