What Types of Things Do You Help Clients Work on as a Work Life Balance Coach?
As your Work Life Balance Coach, I’ll support you in:
Identifying the Root Causes of Work-Life Imbalance: We’ll uncover what’s driving your stress and disconnection, whether it’s unrealistic expectations, poor boundaries, constant multitasking, or perfectionism, and shift these patterns with practical strategies.
Clarifying What Work-Life Balance Means for You: Work life balance looks different for everyone. We’ll define what balance truly means to you, and align your time, choices, and habits with what matters most, your relationships, career goals, rest, and personal fulfillment.
Creating Positive Habits & Daily Routines: Together, we’ll design consistent routines that support your physical and emotional health. Morning and evening rituals, time for reflection, and intentional transitions between work and home life all help you feel grounded and in control.
Time Management for Better Work-Life Balance: You’ll learn to create practical schedules that honor both your professional responsibilities and personal time. We’ll implement time-blocking, task batching, and realistic planning to help you do more with less stress.
Boundary Setting to Protect Your Time: A key part of achieving work-life balance is learning to say “no” with confidence. You’ll practice setting boundaries with work, colleagues, clients, family, and even technology, so you can reclaim time and energy.
Stress Reduction Strategies: We’ll explore simple, research-based tools like to help you manage daily stress and recover from burnout. These tools are essential to restoring and maintaining balance.
Self-Care as a Non-Negotiable: True work life balance includes space for rest, joy, and replenishment. We’ll build self-care into your routine in a way that feels realistic and restorative, without guilt or overwhelm.
Productivity That Supports Balance: We’ll focus on working smarter, not harder. By streamlining tasks, setting priorities, and minimizing distractions, you’ll become more efficient, creating more time for the life you want outside of work.
The specific things we work on together vary depending on individual goals, preferences, and challenges. I tailor my approach to each client's unique needs to help you create positive habits that align with your specific work life balance goals.
How Does Your Work Life Balance Coaching Process Work?
Step 1 - ACQUAINT: We schedule a FREE 20-minute Discovery Session to get acquainted, discuss your habits coaching needs, and answer any questions you may have.
Step 2 - ASSESS: We'll assess your level of satisfaction with each area of your life, as well as evaluate your unique self-talk patterns.
Step 3 - AIM: We'll have an in-depth discussion of your assessment results and begin setting specific short- and long-term goals based on your assessments and what we discover during our discussion so we know what destinations we are aiming for.
Step 4 - ACTION: We'll jump right in with "In-Between Session Actions" (AKA - homework ;-) customized to your needs to begin moving you into action toward your habits-related goals.
Step 5 - ACHIEVE, ADDRESS, & APPRECIATE: We'll focus our sessions on reviewing your habits achievement progress, discussing and addressing any negative self-talk that is getting in your way, positively tackling any new challenges and opportunities that arise, and CELEBRATING AND APPRECIATING YOUR SUCCESSES - the small ones along the way and big ones following your hard work!
Can You Share More About Your RESCRIPT Framework?
As a life and career coach, I've developed my own framework for helping my clients quiet negative self talk and become their own best advocates.
We have two very different mental narrators who talk to us in our minds—the Inner Antagonist and the Inner Advocate.
Your Inner Antagonist is your story’s inner opposing force. It tells you that you have disorder, conflict, weaknesses, and deficits within and around you, and that you do not have what it takes to resolve any of it. Your Inner Antagonist can also lead you to act in ways that are not aligned with your values and ultimate desires.
Your Inner Advocate has your back. It’s your inner ally, supporter, encourager, and collaborative problem solver. It tells you that you’re strong and capable. It reminds you of all the resources you have within and around you. It reminds you of the wisdom you’ve gained from life experience. It tells you that you can overcome anything. To amplify our Inner Advocate, we must RESCRIPT:
What is Your Role as My Work Life Balance Coach?
I'm your co-strategizer: Together, we come up with ideas and strategies to help you quiet your Inner Antagonist, amplify your Inner Advocate, set and take action toward your goals, achieve your dreams, and enhance your life satisfaction. I have developed over 100 exercises and worksheets to help you on your journey (no, you don't have to use ALL of them, just the ones that resonate with you!).
I'm your accountability partner: I help you remain motivated, engaged, and on track toward achieving your short- and long-term goals!
I'm your External Advocate and champion: I help you see your strengths, accomplishments, passions, and purpose so you can live your fullest, limitless life. I help encourage, empower, and motivate you, and I celebrate you and all of the steps you take towards positively changing your life.
